Ayurveda Face and Body Renewal

If you want a really long, lingering massage that offers both deep stress relief , plus a simultaneous complexion improvement treatment, this Ayurvedic ritual from the mountains of Tibet is for you. It's really two treatments combined into one service. It begins with the Ayurveda Face Rejuvenation . This first portion of the massage focuses on the face , scalp and shoulders . The second portion is a profoundly relaxing Aromatherapy massage of the rest of the body, using specially blended essential oils to uplift your spirits. You will feel totally refreshed, pampered and renewed after this luxurious service. In the Ayurvedic tradition, this is a gentle, nourishing full body, scalp and facial massage. It is not appropriate for a massage extension.

Raindrop Therapy for Back Pain and Stress

Two therapists perform this unique service. The treatment begins when a special blend of Essential Oils is applied to the back in a specific sequence. Therapeutic massage techniques and warm towels bring welcome relief of back pain. The treatment continues with special techniques for the rest of the body. (Although the treatment oils have a strong medicinal odor, we recommend that they be allowed to remain on the body for, at least, 4 - 6 hours. This will allow the oils to penetrate deep into aching muscles.) This massage is not appropriate for a massage extension.

Native American Stone Therapy

Stone Therapy comes from the Native American traditional healing practices. The room is prepared by burning Sage to purify the space. Special stones that have been worn smooth by the flow of the river are heated to a comfortably warm temperature. The therapist places the heated stones at strategic energy points and uses others in her hands as a massage tool to knead the muscles over the entire body in a particular sequence. The warm stone is like an extension of the therapist hand, providing welcome relief of muscle tightness, aches and pains . Cold marble stones may also be used to relieve pain and congestion at particular points. The weight, warmth and pressure of the stones is extremely stress relieving and comforting. This is a moderate to heavy pressure, full body massage. It is not appropriate for a massage extension.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi

Lomi Lomi is a healing practice used by the Kahunas (healers) from the Islands of Hawaii. Their massage technique is long sweeping motions, followed by a rippling movement that feels like the waves of the ocean breaking on the shore. At some points, the therapist uses her entire forearm to glide over tightened and stressed muscles to smooth out the tension. This is a moderate to heavy pressure, full body massage. It is not appropriate for a massage extension.

Thai Warm Herbal Poultice Massage

This massage comes from Thailand where ancient healers used this remedy to treat the wounds and aching muscles of returning warriors. Well, at The Brass Rose we just treat the every day weary and weekend warriors. Get ready for the most healing and soothing massage you have ever experienced. Before you enter the room, the therapist is warming herbal oils and preparing steamed poultices filled with a special blend of herbs and a heated massage stone. Rosemary, Sage, Strawberry, and Eucalyptus are used for healing. Comfrey and Lavender are used for their aromatic soothing properties. Slip onto the heated massage bed and put yourself in our hands for an hour long , full body massage. The comforting warm herbal oil is applied while the therapist glides and kneads the warm herbal poultice over every muscle and key energy points, using ever increasing pressure to "iron" out muscle aches and tightness . You can almost feel the healing herbs seeping into your skin while the stress is blissfully melting away. The sensation is exquisite, and the relief is heaven sent. This is a moderate to heavy pressure, full body massage. It is not appropriate for a massage extension.

Full body, very deep tissue, with muscle stretching . Improves flexibility. Massage extension not permitted.

Mother-to-Be Comfort Massage

Specially adapted full body gentle massage for ladies in waiting. You must be, at least, 12 weeks pregnant.

Mini Retreat Neck & Upper Back Tension Relief Massage

A focused massage of the upper back, neck and shoulders only . Moderate to heavy pressure.  Massage extension is permitted.

Reflexology Foot Massage

A short foot massage using specific pressure points to achieve balance and relief. This service may be added on to any of our massage treatments with the exception of the pregnancy massage.
